This interdisciplinary workshop is co-organized by Stephanie Tanadini-Lang (Medical Physics), Katerina Nilo (RTT), Brigitta Baumert (Radiation Oncologist) and Oliver Riesterer (Radiation Oncologist) and the topic will be “MR Integration in Radiotherapy”.

MR is a versatile imaging modality for Radiation Oncology. It has better soft tissue contrast compared with CT imaging and thus enables improved target delineation and adaptive treatment strategies. MR imaging can be combined with artificial intelligence technology to produce synthetic CT images. This allows a radiotherapy workflow without the need for a classical CT image.

The workshop aims to gather 1) keynote lectures on the use of MR in Radiation Oncology, 2) practical aspects and discussion and 3) presentation of the available tools with our industrial partners.
This SASRO workshop will be a unique opportunity to share experience and to prepare our future.
